CONSULTATION SERVICES
I am pleased to offer individual and group case consultation for EMDRIA-trained clinicians who wish to expand their knowledge of EMDR as a form of relational psychotherapy and who are integrating EMDR into their practice. I had the privilege of training as an EMDR consultant with Deany Laliotis, LCSW-C, an incredibly gifted teacher, mentor, trainer and clinician. As a consultant, I continue to receive group consultation on a regular basis to continue learning and growing as a clinician, consultant and training facilitator.
Groups:
Group consultation is a great way to begin integrating EMDR into your existing practice. While in group, you have the opportunity to present your own questions and cases, while hearing those of others.
For advanced and intermediate clinicians, group consultation is important in that you have a place to discuss challenges that naturally arise when working with complex trauma.

Individual: Clinicians are able to dive deeply into case conceptualization and how to move clients along through the process of EMDR therapy.

Individual and Group Consultation addresses the following issues and more, depending on your needs and learning style:
-Building confidence in and how to apply EMDR virtually and in-person.
-Improving EMDR AIP case conceptualization skills through an attachment lens.
-Strengthening skills needed to aid in client stabilization and preparation for EMDR memory processing.
-Clinical decision making regarding client readiness for processing and where to begin.
-Addressing technical issues and working with defenses that inevitably arise during processing.
-Parts work during processing.
-Working with transference and counter-transference that arises during processing.
-Review of basic EMDR protocol and other special protocols as needed.
-The work before the work (Deany Laliotis, LCSW-C)
-Transcript review, an incredible learning tool that aids in all of the above skills and issues.
I enjoy the collaborative and relational process of consultation and work with clinicians at varying levels of EMDR proficiency. Getting to know my consultees, how they learn, and what their goals are is very important to me. I am passionate about supporting clinicians who utilize EMDR with clients in their journey as healers and will only work with consultees who are eager to learn and grow in this type of work.
Requirements for consultation services:
Must be an independent, licensed clinician, carry liability insurance, and have completed EMDRIA basic training. If working toward certification, consultees must be willing to write up cases on a regular basis, and to present/review transcripts of EMDR sessions.
